Thanks for the review. I bought the 22" LR version. Mine also had the crude barrel taper near the sight and several tool marks and long scratches on the underside of the barrel. I bought it online, so I plan on RMAing it back to Ruger.
ReplyDeleteGreat writeup, the best on the net so far! I have a CZ 455 and this caught my eye as a rifle for my best friend. I have a HB version and it's heavy...8+ lbs with scope. So I'm looking at the RAR compact version. I would never consider a Savage anymore, the magazines are so troublesome (I own one). And I enjoy the 22LR experience. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteGreat review. I plan on getting one of these when the 17HMR is released in February. I might wait until March to pick one up. That a way someone can do a review on the 17 version. I am expecting a real tack driver.
