  1. This is one nice shotgun for the money! I found it completely reliable and accurate. There's no rear sight, but you don't need it-just shoulder it and look at the front sight and you will hit anything you shoot at out to about 50 yards, and if you have a room in your house that's more than 50 yards across, you most likely live in a mansion and can afford your own security team! My Red Dot optic rear sight works great and is inexpensive. As for capacity, just take the mag. tube end cap off and carefully file down the little "bump" and Voila!-you have a 6+1 shooter. I have shot skeet with it, hunted with it, and will defend my family with it if need be. In a world full of rip-offs, this is a genuinely good deal!

  2. Is there anyway you can show in detail on what bump to file down to increase the mag. tube?

  3. I don't believe that you can make this shotgun a 6+1. If you look at Figure 19 of Part 5 of the review, you will see that the magazine tube has a rolled groove (not bump) that prevents extra shells from being inserted into the magazine tube.

  4. There is no end cap to take off on this gun. Can't figure out how the get the mag tube off to look at it. Suggestions?

  5. You have to unscrew the mag tube from the receiver, that's how I got mine off. Be advised it is quite tough to crack at first.

  6. you make this grater than 5+1 and you are in violation of the 922r importation laws of the Federal Goverment.

  7. Will this shotgun accept a SpecOps NRS Gen II Adjustable Shotgun Stock? Is yes, which one MOSSBERG 500 or Remington? Thanks so much...I have recently purchased this shotgun from a pawn shop for $220.00 and it is awesome to shoot. If it will accept the SpecOps stock it will be even more awesome...thanks again.

  9. It is ok to take out that return spring right? My gun range requires the breach be open to enter the gun range office and with the spring in, we couldn't make it stay open without holding it open. I actually have the cobra model without the handgrip. Looks like most everything is just about the same. Can I use that flash hider choke on the cobra?

  10. Yes, I believe you can remove the return spring and it will function like any other pump shotgun. If you were to remove the return spring, I believe you should not remove the spacer against the receiver because the the outside edge of the spacer serves as a guide to prevent the forend from touching the receiver when cycling the action. Since the Cobra Force was imported with the flash hider choke, I feel that using a similar choke would be OK on your version of this shotgun.

  11. Just got a Tri Star Cobra tactical, no pistol grip. Am a bit confused on the barrel cleaning instructions. Does the choke tube only get cleaned with cloth, no brush? Does the choke tube have to be removed, and the barrel brushed after its removal? Love it so far. Have only shot it once.

  12. I clean the inside of my choke tubes the same way I do my shotgun barrels (solvent, brush and patch). I then remove the choke and clean the threaded areas both inside the barrel and outside the tube. An old tooth brush helps for the outside of the tube if you have much buildup.

    1. yes its a pain in the ass but u should be able to get 7 rnds when done, google seach it, in some forum a guys talks about unscrewing the tube (i had to heat it up with torch cause of glue) and sticking a adapter on a drill with sand paper and sanding out the little crimp , takes quite some patients

  15. I liked this shotgun, very reliable, very accurate, wasn't expecting the amount of recoil that it had, looking for a recoil pad for it.

  16. My recently purchased Cobra-Force does NOT have the built in forearm rail. Why would Tri-Star eliminate this feature - really weakens the gun as a true "tactical" gun as there's no way to easily mount a light.

Where can one be obtained? I can't find a replacement forearm with the integrated rail online?

  17. To the gentleman inquiring about an aftermarket stock. I tried to add a A.T stock for the Mossberg 500 and it did not fit without some cutting and filing. The end results were not impressive because of the angle of the stock and stock bolt angle. Tristar does offer the full length pistol grip stock for it (I think it was around $70)

  18. I purchased my Cobra Force yesterday. Mine did not come with the forarm rail either. My did however come with a rear ghost sight. I will be doing the first firing today after work if the rain holds off. Seems like a nice gun. I do not think I will be removing the spring due to the fact that my "range" is in my own yard or next door in an open pasture. So far I am very satisfied with it.

  19. Guys I just bought the Tristar Cobra tactical 12ga and called the importer at their website to find accessories for it such as a flash suppressor. The guy told me they dont carry accessories for it but usually any Bereta or Benelli accessories will usually fit this shotgun. Just so yall know.

Does anyone have any idea which Beretta and Benelli models we're looking for accessories for to the adapt to the Cobra Force?

    1. I have been using Remington 870 parts and accessories with ZERO problems. I replaced the faux tube with a regular length tube and added a 3 shot extention. I love this weapon !!!
