i have recently bought an m&p 15-22. i can't wait to shoot it. everything i have read about them, i feel i have bought a great plinker. but i have also just heard of the Chiappa M Four 22... with the little bit i have heard I am hoping you may end up reviewing one soon. what catches my eye about them is it seams it uses the same upper as the chiappa ar15(5.56/.223) conversion they offer. I have also heard about someone (youtube) putting a mill spec buffer tube on his (impossible on the M&P 15-22). which makes me think..... you thoughts about placing an AR upper on this chiappa 22, may lead into a beeter purchase. if the riffle is well made. just an idea.
I haven't reviewed the MFour-22 yet, but after looking at the specs, the weight made me think it was a polymer lower receiver because it was less than 5 pounds. After reading a review by American Rifleman, the review states that MFour-22 is a polymer upper and lower receiver. In general, I think that if you could make a polymer lower work with a .223 upper, you wouldn't have something that would last.
Thank you for the review. It is one of the most detailed reviews of any firearm I have seen. The description along with the high quality pics was a pleasure read and view.
Thank you for your thorough review and photos. After reading I went out and bought two, one for me, one for my son. The guns are exactly as you say, and they rock on cheap federal ammo. Next the BSA scope, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for your time from all of us.
I am fairly new to shooting. I purchased the M & P 15-22. Absolutely love this gun. Living in the city I have to go to the indoor range. It is so fun to shoot and very easy to break down and clean. Had it since March and have put about 1,000 rounds through it. I have the greatest results with CCI Mini Mag 40 gr. Impressed with the S & W quality.
Good review. This is my first rifle and I love it. I couldn't have bought anything better. I bought the same gun a little over three months ago and I've shot over 3,000 rounds through it. Geez, I hope I don't wear it out.
Outstanding review of what appears to be one fine rifle. I would love to buy one, but living in NYS, I currently cant. The new law considers it an assault weapon. Makes me sick. I hope to eventually move to a free state and add this to my collection.
Thanks for the awesome review! It was very detailed. I recently bought the M&P 15-22 for my son and after shooting it I almost had to keep it for myself. This is a fun gun to shoot and shot every type of ammo I put in it. After more than 300 rounds without a single jam I am happy. The only thing I would say is that there should be a caution about standing near the shooter's right side as this little rifle definately "kicks brass". It kicks the brass out almost 8-10 feet. This is an impressive rifle. I bought the realtree version and it looks great. I have absolutely no complaints about this gun.
Excellent review!!! Thanks for the many great pictures, and detailed information. This review has helped me to decide on my next purchase. I also found the review of the BSA scope to be very informative. I feel that it would make an excellent addition to this rifle.
Kevin your the man :-)......really good detailed review,i did not know there was a realtree version until i saw your review, and i can see why you lean a little towards it HA HA.....i just have to find one though as i live across the pond in england
I really, really liked this gun from the moment I saw it. Your excellently produced and informative video was the icing on the cake. Just bought one. Thanks for helping me make up my mind. Thanks to you, I know I won't regret it.
Thanks for posting this. You helped finalize my decision to purchase one for my first gun.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback. Don't worry about wearing it out. It should last many many years. Cleaning is easy.
ReplyDeleteGood review. Blinking green text was a bit distracting....
